29th July 2011

Dad: sorry for the really rubbish photo, had the wrong lens on the camera.
Pooch home from the v*ts this evening after having undergone an endoscopy under general anaesthetic. He's a bit groggy and
grumpy, as you can see from the expressive stare above! :-)
Recuperation will take a few days - he's been through quite an ordeal for a nine year old pooch. But so good to have him home - the house has been far too quiet!
Have a great weekend poochfriends!

1030pm - sorry forgot to mention... the endoscopy showed no foreign body after all, but stomach biopsy taken as stomach lining
inflamed. Results back from the lab in week's time... In the meantime, six different kinds of medication and a special diet, but you
could almost hear his huge sigh of relief at being home from v*t hospital as he settled onto his favourite chair!

Oh gosh, you are all having quite a time of it with a car crash and now this, on top of Poochgrandad. Teddy and I send big hugs and we hope everything will be well with you all soon. Teddy has been at the groomer today as he needs to get his hair cut every 8 weeks and I have missed him like mad for the four hours he was gone and now exactly what you mean about the empty house - though know that when they are in hospital things are much more difficult of course.

Poor baby! I'm sure he's glad to be home and hopefully he's not angry with you for "dumping" him at the vet. Glad no foreign objects. Hopefully the stomach inflamation if from something bacterial that can be easily cured. Finger crossed.

I'm getting the message Pooch, I know that stare! Take it easy and enjoy your own special chair!

Bet you're glad to be home. We'll have to give you camomile tea every night like Peter Rabbit's mother gave to him.
