15th August 2010

Dad, you're getting lost again! Can't you smell that it's this way?? Come on Dad!

Dad: the gamble is whether Pooch is going after the quickest way back to the car... or the nearest rabbit or squ*rrel!

We're having a slightly weird problem with our 40D and wondered whether any of our Pbase friends who also own one could
see if they have the same issue? Not sure if our camera's faulty or perhaps it's just a limitation of the 40D. Whenever we use
the higher shutter speeds, i.e. 1/8000sec or thereabouts, if a shallow aperture is used as well (e.g. f2 or below) then the entire
image intermittently becomes completely blurred. It happens with several different lenses and also when using manual focus so it's
not a focus issue. We are wondering whether it's a shutter problem...

It's got to be a wabbit.
Sorry about the camera, sounds like a faulty shutter problem.
I can't see canon knowingly allowing this without a mention in the instructions.

I'm thinking its a rabbit or hare that's taken his interest, not the car! Sorry
can't help with the cam, I haven't tried taking shots at that speed yet.

"People are SO slow, hurry up!!!
Looks like you had a nice walk today.
Sorry to hear about your camera, I hope you solve the problem.
Or is it time to get a Nikon? ;o)

I'd bet on the latter.
