2nd September 2009

Dad: another shot from our walky on Monday through the Studley Royal Deer Park.
The deer park dates from medieval times, but this ornamental bridge is an 18th century addition.
Pooch decided he was thirsty and here you see him contemplating a route down the bank to reach the stream water.
Luckily even Pooch knows a patch of stinging nettles when he sees one, and decided that discretion is the better part of valour. ;-)
He obtained a sting-free cool drink about 100 yards further on. :-)

What a smart dog Pooch is! I did not know about stinging nettles until I ventured into the grass to get a better shot of our B&B chateau in France from the other side of the lake and I got a sudden painful surprise!

Beautiful little bridge. That's a smart Pooch to avoid the nettles.
