2nd July 2009

Here's a photo from yesterday evening's walky, friends. Dad and Mum kept saying how peaceful it was,
with birdsong and hardly any other people or pooches about.
Well! I just couldn't agree. You see, evening is a fascinating time for me. Everywhere I went I could
smell fresh trails of nocturnal creatures, and every hedgerow and field was rustling with invisible
critters rummaging in the undergrowth!
Peaceful? Peaceful! I'd never been so busy!

PAD alternate: Pooch wanting to search that barley, but spoilsport Dad says NOT ALLOWED! http://www.pbase.com/poochdad/image/114524289

Looks like a wonderful place for a walk, always something interesting to say from Pooch's perspective though.

That field is so pretty in the late afternoon sunshine, you never know what
might come out of the barley just to see you Pooch!

Pooch can walk further than we can. :-) He may be vertically challenged but he's a tough pooch when it comes to walkies.

It's a helluva walk with such short legs, but it looks beautiful. Chris

I've often wondered how dogs can handle the "information overload" that comes from having such acute senses. Beautiful scenery, love the barley field... lovely lovely lovely.
