17th August 2008

It's been raining a lot this week. But the skies cleared enough today to make it worthwhile to
have a long walky in the Peak District. Dad was saddened that the traditional dry-stone walls on
this walky were in quite bad repair. But for me the gaps and tumbledown bits were ideal vantage-points
for spying down into the valley!

What a great view! It certainly is sad about the drystone walls, they are a wonderful feature of the north countryside.
