Grand Falls, SP Crater -- August 9-10, 2008

Brent & JoAnne Archinal graciously hosted us for Tom's lecture at the Coconino Astronomy Club and accompanied us on two glorious outings. 1st to Grand Falls, The Chocolate Niagra which was up and running quite nicely although we couldn't get dipped for lack of clothing changes. Then for Tom's birthday we thought we'd at least attempt a hike to the bottom of SP Crater and much to our surprise we made it up to the rim, then down to the crater bottom, then back up to the rim and down to the base--It wasn't easy but it was great fun!
