I attended Farnborough for the first time this year after almost 30 years of going to airshows.
The show was held from the 14th - 20th July 2008 and is predominantly a trade show with an afternoon flying display lasting a few hours.
Having been to The Royal International Air Tattoo the weekend before and managed to grab a few shots on the Friday prior to the event being cancelled on the two public days I was eager for some flying.
I went to Farnborough on the Friday and the weather was pretty appalling for high summer with frequent showers breaking out at the drop of a hat. There was some pretty low cloud and it was very dark and dismal for most of the day.
However, I did get to see the fabulous Vulcan fly again and managed to photograph some types I'd never seen before including the latest offering from Airbus.
