The exposure program refers to the exposure or shooting mode - probably either Manual, Auto, or one of the scene modes like landscape, party, portrait. etc. These modes are not necessarily identified as "2" or "8" in your camera's manual; these codes are used in the image IXIF data as a shorthand for the exposure mode.

Can somebody explain me what is that exposure program (2) and (8)?! I can't find this anywhere on the camera. The exposure goes from -2EV to + 2EV and that all. Whats that "exposure program" you guys use on the all the photos here? Sometimes it says (2),. other times it says (8)...?!!!
