PBase Guide to British Insects and other Invertebrates

A long-term project by me - enjoy! Photographed with Olympus (Evolt) E-300 and E-510 digital slrs, the OM series 20mm f2, 38mm f2.8 and 50mm f3.5 macro lenses (with or without the OM 65-116 zoom auto tube and/or the FourThirds EX-25 Extension Tube) via the MF1 OM adapter and the SUPERB Sigma 150mm f/2.8 APO EX DG Macro HSM lens. In most cases flash was used - either the cameras' on-board units or an Olympus FL36 flash with the latter positioned to one side near the front of the lens and linked to the camera via the FL-CB05 ttl lead.

Hello Rhona - provided 4 electrical contacts (i.e. one large and 3 small) are visible on the hotshoe, then the ttl cord and either of those two flashes will work. Good luck with your photographic endeavours!

Wow! What a great project and wonderful shots. A fine reason to jump up in the morning! I can see me spending quite some time clicking on all the different sections! I see you have both the E-300 and E-510. I only have an E-500, but in my small way am also hooked on insects, and am wondering if the Fl36/Fl36R flash plus the FL-CB05 ttl flash cord system you talk of would work on that, too, but it's so hard to find out such things. Any input would be gratefully received! Rhona
