i like yr pics which stunned me much.
i plan to move to Flores but i woriied if there are any chinese there???i am a chinese.
may anyone help me an d tell me more about Flores, like, which place is suitable to land, any cheap place to stay???etc/
is it 6months Visa now?

Yes, wonderful photos - I did a similar trip in 1983, then had the opportununity to return to Manggarai in 1990, got married there, and divide my time between Tasmania and Ruteng. Many people I know just cannot let go of Flores, it's a special place. Hope to live there full-time from 2007! Currently in Malaysia, which, sadly, I find insipid.

i have no words to say but just 'fantastic!'. i've just moved and living in west manggarai now but had no idea about my land 35 yrs back, until i visited your photo galleries.
i feel like thanking u a lot for such beautiful and amazing images i've ever seen.........

Amazing pictures of labuan bajo 35 years ago, ive just returned a few weeks ago after staying on a friends Island, Seraya cercil, 3-4 miles north of bajo..my friends are still out there but return in a another week or so..unfortunatly the village has changed quite a bit, at the moment they are building a new whalf right in the middle of the harbour, the village is still
laid back tho...and theres plenty of malaria to go around too...nicest place i've ever been to in the world and we are planning our return already.

Dear Peter, you still have some great pics =)
10_18_Afro is my favorite one. It's hard to find that kind of hair style these days.
Btw, do you speak bahasa indonesia? because you use some indonesian language in your pics title (kerbau, kampung, pandan)
