The best part of the trip to the Elephant Seals was finding this young male all alone on the beach at the Wm R Hearst Pier beach. He watched me very closely but made no attempt to move or "bark" at me, I was able to get within ten feet of him for these shots. This is a lovely little pier and beach cove, not to overlook when up that way.
