The B.W. Wells Savanna is a 117-acre nature preserve located in Pender County, NC. This site is wedged between two powerline corridors, and contains a bountiful variety of coastal endemic plants including orchids, carnivorous plants, grasses, ferns and woody species like longleaf pine.

I had an opportunity to visit this wonderful place recently. Here is a sample of the flora from our fieldtrip. Thanks to the Coastal Land Trust this site has been protected for members to explore and enjoy.
