I was up for a week over the July 4th to visit my cousin Cathy. Rich and Harry had
done the Whitewater River a few weeks earlier, and since I had not seen that section
of the river, he didn’t have to ask me twice. We left Saturday morning, and parked a
vehicle at the bridge on Hwy 281, then took another to the Hwy 107.
We four adventure seekers started up river and bushwhacked, waded, and rock hopped all
the way down river to see the waterfalls, cascades and scenic views. Once we got near
the bridge on Hwy 281, we caught the trail UPHILL back to the vehicle. It was a bright,
sunny day with a few passing clouds. Great hiking weather, but no ideal for shooting. I
still managed to get some descent shots along the way. We had a blast! The next series
of images is what we saw as we continued down the river.
