Venus' Flytrap

Venus' Flytraps are native only to a small area of the
southern coastal plain of North Carolina. The interior colour of
the 2-lobed leaves or traps vary from green to deep red.
Blooming time: May-June
Occurs: coastal plain
Habitat: pine savannas, seepages ditches and moist sandy ridges
Uncommon, but locally abundant
