This Rose Pogonia was one of many blooming along the edge of
the big pond. I used a black umbrella as a background.

Blooming time: May-June
Occurs: coastal plain, piedmont and mountains
Habitat: wet savannas, mossy wet ditches and bogs
Uncommon in coastal plain, rare in piedmont and mountains
