Our tallest and showiest Rhexia.
This species differs from other Rhexias by having ascending smooth,
bluish-green leaves, glandular hairs on the unopened flowers and curved stamens.

Occurs: coastal plain
Habitat: wet pine woods, savannas, pocosin borders, and ditches
