Galearis spectabilis

Showy Orchis

Galearis often forms clumps. When not in bloom the leaves
are sometimes mistaken for Speckled Wood Lily. Both plants
have light green glabrous leaves.
Blooming time: April-June
Occurs: mountains
Habitat: rich, moist, deciduous woods and near streambanks
Common in the mountains
