Dear Tamara, the water change is especially for the plants, because the natural gravel eliminate the hardness from the water. So i balance it with the water change (hard water). Best regards, Oliver Knott

Size:30x30x30 cube, without filtration just water change 30% every 3 days.Set up for 20 shrimps(10 Red Cherry and 10 Chrystal Red)and 1 Ancistus sp.Decoration: mangrove.Plants:utricularia graminifolia and vesicularia dubyana.Lighting 11W Compact light.Is it necessary CO2 dosing with Tetra Optimat or enough CO2 tabs? And what about Sera Florena? Is it dangerous for shrimps? Can this tank works with these circumstances? Thank you in advance. Zoltan Urban from Hungary. Of course you have to be carefull with some fertilizer (liquid) because of your shrimps. You can try it with CO2 tabs but i think especially the Utricularia love real CO2 more.
