I was out in the yard in the morning and found these berries still covered in ice. Predictions for very high winds overnight were in the forecast and I was praying for a few degrees of temperature rise before that happens. Our temperature stayed right around freezing until 9 PM when it started to shoot up and actually hit a record high of 56F (13C) for the date at 11:59 PM EST. An hour later the winds started. I didn't get much quality sleep last night as the winds were howling all night and still are. We've had gusts of 60 mph and the temperature is down below freezing again.
