The Start Of It Tonight...

First inning, no outs, Dustin Pedroia on first base and "Big Papi", David Ortiz, at bat. Then it happens - TB pitcher David Price plunks Papi on the backside. Boston manager Farrell gets thrown out of the game for something that happened here, both benches are warned. A couple innings later TB pitcher Price plunks Mike Carp, Price isn't ejected but coach Lovullo, filling in for Farrell, is tossed for arguing that Price should be ejected. A couple innings later, Boston pitcher Brandon Workman throws a pitch that goes well behind TB's Evan Longoria and he gets ejected as does coach Butterfield (who's now filling in for Lovullo and Farrell).

You have to love a rivalry :-)

I thought I was reading a newscast at first ;-). Sounds like this must have been a very eventful game!

....and they WON! Maybe they need to keep Butterfield as manager! :-) Never sat in the outfield at Wrigley Field or Comiskey Park but did at a Cubs vs Cards game at the old field in St Louis about 1972 or so. Always exciting at the old ball game!
