This is the view of the Genesee River taken while standing on the O'Rourke lift bridge sidewalk (looking North towards the lake in the distance) with the Sun peeking through briefly. The river flows into Lake Ontario but as you can see not much on the surface is flowing right now. These waterfowl won't be there much longer - either they will move on or the Snowy Owl that has been hanging around the piers will take care of them. The lake is also frozen over quite a bit from shore. We're in a "chill" right now and high temperatures for the next week are not expected to get much above 25F ( -4C). The high today was 9F (-13C) and the low was -5F (-21C). At least we are not getting a lot of snow with this cold weather for now.
