Two Views Less Than 24 Hours Apart

The shot on the left was taken Monday afternoon and the one on the right taken shortly after daybreak on Tuesday.
We normally get our first "measurable" snow around Nov 8th so we're pretty much on schedule.
At least I don't have to see my front yard covered in leaves :-)
Today it will remain cold but temperatures will rise over the next few days
and by the weekend temperatures are expected to reach 50F (10C).

Good idea Patti having set up these comparison shots.Well done.Unlike your situation, our snow is here to stay. The snow started out looking like your 2nd image but 3 days later we are close to two feet of snow now on the ground.

We might not get any measurable snow at all, Patti!
But then again, we just might!
Beautifully unpredictable around here!

What a bit of 'winter' does to a scene.
I suppose its back to near the first scene after the day's warmth.

I'm so out of touch with weather in "normal" places I can hardly believe this! But I can also remember getting our first snow in Budapest at the end of October, so I guess I shouldn't be surprised!

I'm no longer a "snow bird" like I once was, so I have to stay and endure the cold winter months...
I like your comparison images...

Looks like you got a little more than we did, nicely done, John has tried to show me layering etc. but I never have gotten it. Hope we both have a good Winter! :-)

The leaves are beautiful. We're preparing for freezing temperatures, have taken in all the potted plants that are in danger.
