Was out in the yard this afternoon checking things out and saw that my daffodils are poking through already.
Won't they be surprised when we get snow this weekend !
Always good to see the buds peeping up. Daffs here are about a month earlier than usual according to the market gardeners and some people had them in their gardens before Christmas!

Their first appearance is always a cheering sight.
These might be surprised by your expected snow ...
our daffies would be astonished if we ever had snow!
How amazing to see the daffodils coming up! We have lots of snow on the ground up here, nearly knee-deep in places (but that is not nearly as much as we usually have by February!).
That's funny as Maralee was talking about the very same thing with the meal site manager just yesterday! She said if they get to the stage when there is a bud on them, snip them off before the snow (or freezing temps) and put them in water and they should bloom, the plant outside should be OK! Hope I got that right. Nice close up of a normal sign of Spring!
