Giant Pillows

I think in a prior life I was a storm chaser because on a day like today when we had these wonderful cumulonimbus clouds growing all day I was excited to be out taking some images of them. We used to call them thunderhead clouds because they usually brought some exciting storms that had lots of thunder and lightning. I was hoping for a lightning shot (just maybe?). We had none of that where I was.
I was also hoping I just might get a shot of a water spout on the lake today but that's such a long shot because you really have to be very lucky to be in the right spot with your camera and there are not that many spots near the lake where you can see down the lake (most is private property). I think I would have about the same chance at winning the lottery as I would of capturing a spout. But I try :-)

A beautiful cloudscape. Too bad some of the waterfront is privately owned. All beaches here are public, except military areas.

Great capture. If its rain and lightning you want, just come to Saskatchewan... It just doesn't seem to want to go away

Keep trying, you just never know. They are beautiful. We got maybe 10 minutes of light rain this evening. Wish we could get more!

And yet, minuscule chances aside, people still win the lottery. I, for one, am looking forward to your waterspout shot. In the mean time, you can keep sharing great shots like this.
