Chimney Bluffs State Park is a an area formed during the ice age. It's from a glacial drumlin and has been eroded by wind and waves. The park is located just east of Sodus Bay, NY. There is water access (for now) and an upper trail to view the bluffs.

There is an "official" area with a really nice picnic area, bathrooms and an overlook of the bluffs but the real access to the bluffs is further east down the road.

I like adventure but I don't take much risk (I've been in a sailplane but I'd never bungee jump nor sky dive) so I did not climb any of the bluffs (and I would never do it because it's just not right) and I was very careful both as I walked the lake shore part and the upper trail. It's been several years since I last visited the bluffs and I remember much more beach and it looked to me that many of the formations have eroded. Who knows how long before they fall into the lake...
