It's great to see a B-17 get a new lease on life. Ironically, my uncle was a waist gunner on an ill-fated B24D Liberator in the 8th Air Force which was named, The Outhouse Mouse. Ill-fated because it went down with all ten lives lost into eternity. Thank you for restoring the "Lady." I've seen Preston's Pride, a B-17 parked out in Tulare, California alongside an F-4. This B-17 https://picasaweb.google.com/tallmanpromotions/B17KFlyingFortressInCalifornia# was part of the 379th Bomber Squadron. Good luck!

Is this the Out House Mouse? or the Liberty Belle. I am confused, or has the plane been renamed? My dad flew on the Out House Mouse during WWII. Would appreciate some info. He talks about those days and I would love a photo of the plane if this is it. Thanks so much

Good Morning!
I'm sitting here in Sun Lakes, Az., with my father, 1st Lieutenant Griffin E. Quinton, 0-784952, Pilot of the B-17G "Outhouse Mouse" February 1945 to January 1946. We are thrilled to see the ole girl and wonder if the aircraft in the picture is the same my father flew. Do you have an answer? In any event, thanks for your work on the website and Merry Christmass!
