During the summer and fall of 2003-2004, I was allowed access to the interior of this abandoned foundry that was in the process of being razed. It had been vacated for almost 25 years, but parts of the building -- office spaces --has seen limited use since its closing. Over the years, some of the major machinery -- lathes, shapers, small milling machines, drill presses, and the like -- had been sold off and removed, but otherwise, the place looked as through the owners walked in one day and locked the doors. This series of images is one of several that I have processed into a hand-made book. The book's cover is the first image, and I was fortunate to find a copy of the company's letter head to incorporate into its design.
