Sixes is a one man show. I had the pleasure of meeting with Ryan at a subsequent 7 Year Rabbit Cycle show in Oakland later that month. While Ryan is a soft-spoken and charming guy, his music is somewhat opposed to this approach. His set opened and closed violently, building layers of torturous assaults and constantly pushing the distortion threshold with interconnected gadgetry. Sixes did not go peacefully into that good night. Having former experience in noise generation, I noticed the look of discomfort in some of the spectators. This is a sought reaction for some. Personally, I enjoyed the assault quite a bit. I also admire the efficiency of his setup. http://www.sixes.org/
