When I saw this band in Davis, California, at the Restore Maximum Freedom II show, a young patron assumed that I was associated with The Rebel because I had camouflage pants. After a brief struggle with such logic I decided not to restrain my laughter at the question. Here's the deal: Ben was wearing fatigues during his tour, that was obvious. The difference is, I make camouflage look good. An while we're on the subject of fashion, I must tell you how smitten I was with the drummer for The Rebel. I've waited 35 years to find a beautiful woman in a Butthole Surfers T-shirt--Her own, not borrowed--and just my luck... she's married. Oh well. At least I know there was one. I can't find a distinct website for them. Just search for "Ben R. Wallers" or "Hot Girl Butthole t-shirt" and see what comes up.
