I saw these two/three guys open for Curse of the Birthmark/Spector Protector at the El Rio. I had no idea what to expect, but I was in love by the second song. I really like this kinda sound. I don't know much about them. I'm pretty sure they're from S.F. and I'm pretty sure that they were not playing shows anymore, but decided to change that. I certainly hope that is the case. I picked up their demo CD and, while I like the songs, I'm a bit diappointed by the compressed nature of the songs. It sound like MP3s that have been converted to wave. I was blown away by their set and I hope they keep playing shows. They'll be a welcome addition that I would actively seek to enjoy.
