You'd think I'd have made it out to the first night of this festival of fast, especially when the promoter/organizer used one of my Lords of Light photos for the poster. Those of you who are married might understand, those who aren't will eventually understand. Life is full of compromises. Marriage is full of compromises and sacrifices. Enough about me. I didn't keep track, but I bet this is one of the faster concerts I've ever attended. Eskapo openned the show and were the only local outfit for Saturday's event. Lords of Light played the most interesting set I've ever seen them play. Machine Gun Romantics decided to invited the audience to join the band onstage. The audience (most of them) decided that was a great idea. Might be the last time we see them as a four-piece?! This made for interesting photography. Threatener played their last show EVER! Ohuzaru came all the way from Italy to anihilate us. Lots of smiles during that set. Finally, Iron Lung showed us exactly why they are King of the Hill when it comes to Northwest Coast Power-Violence. A big 'thank you' and mad props to Max at 625 for putting this thing on, and to 924 Gilman for continuing to be the gold standard of DIY music venues. http://www.625thrash.com/
