Females or babies?

I can't tell which. But sometimes I am sure a particular hummer is a baby
by its behavior -- totally unafraid and lacking the nervousness of an adult.
Sometimes, also, the bird seems rather small compared to the others.

Female Anna's Hummingbirds lack the red crown of the males, and only have spots
of red irridescence on their throats, sometimes merging into a smallish patch of red.
