At the end of our last day in Canyonlands, we climb in hopes of sunset pictures
Sunset, September 17
It isn't the sunset, but even the reflected light is glorious
After leaving the park, we stop at Newspaper Rock, right there beside the highway
There are pectoglyphs on this rock wall by the ancient Indians, then cowboys, then (unfortunately) modern-day "graffiti"
This wall is in a long, beautiful canyon used through the ages as a travel corridor.
Gary, puzzling over the images -- what do those many-toed feet mean?...
