At Klondike Bluffs - and there was a rattlesnake at my feet!
On ducking out from the juniper I looked down & was quite shocked
It was a Midget-faded Rattlesnake, & was unmoved by our noisy interest
Here's a look at its eye, and you can even see the heat-sensing pit
Its rattle was quite small, and even after harassment the snake did not shake its tail
