Nestled within the hilly terrain in west-central Luzon, this unexploited white beach in Zambales province attracts many tourists nowadays.
Pristine and secluded, the beach of Anawangin Cove is fast becoming a popular tourist destination near the Subic, Zambales area.
Surrounded by pine trees (execptionlly rare in the tropics) and carpeted by volcanic white sand from Mt. Pinatubo's eruption, Anawangin cove looks like a winter scene in the tropics. The sand is very fine and beach wide and very long. The waters is calm making it ideal for swimming.
Although the usual way to Anawangin Cove is by pumpboat from Brgy. Pundaquit, there is land route passing by a hilly ranges of Mt. Pundaquit.
The trail passes by shrublands and grasslands, affording breath-taking views of the nearby mountains and white beaches, before taking a dip in the cool waters.
