Farmhouse (1910) with an outbuilding, both in the style of transitional architecture. The plot was divided in 1977; over time, both buildings have acquired a modern appearance.
The original farmhouse had red brick walls. The facades were later plastered completely white. The barn behind the main house has been converted into living space. The whole now looks like a modern terraced residential complex rather than an old agricultural enclave. The division in 1977 and the renovations made dual occupancy possible.
Historically, this aligns directly with the tradition of the 'krimp' or 'kruushuis' in Drenthe, where the retiring farmer withdrew into the smaller section (the elderly housing) and the next generation moved into the large main house. The use is therefore still analogous to that historical setup: independent living on the same property within a family or care setting.
