Built as a farmhouse (1910), the property has had a formal residential zoning since 2018. It is located in the hamlet of Oldendiever, the original medieval core from which the current village of Diever originated. Around 1984, the farmhouse was included by the Province of Drenthe on the official lists of properties in Diever eligible for thatched roof subsidies, which indicates the preservation of the authentic, regional character.
