Tribute to the province of Flevoland

Agoraweg, Lelystad, province of Flevoland, The Netherlands view map

Major new mural (2024aug) about Museum Batavialand unveiled on Agoraweg in Lelystad. Created by Greek street artist Dimitrios Trimintzios, also known as Taxis, this mural depicts the history and future of Flevoland. The design features a mother figure and her child, symbolizing new life and the pioneering spirit of the region’s first inhabitants. The work contains elements that reference both historical and modern Flevoland, including shipwrecks and contemporary buildings. The dike in the painting symbolizes the region’s ongoing battle against water.
