Mannin Bay Blueway is a coastal destination in Connemara, County Galway, known for its crystal-clear turquoise waters and unique "coral sand." It is one of Ireland's hidden gems and is part of a network of waterways specially designed for water sports enthusiasts.
The beach is special because the sand consists largely of the remains of calcified seaweed (maerl), sponge skeletons, and shells, giving it a unique texture and white color.
