Barley Cove is a beached bay in County Cork, on the south coast of Ireland. It is located near Mizen Head on the Mizen Peninsula, with Crookhaven or Goleen as the nearest villages. The beach is part of an area designated as one of Ireland's Special Protected Natural Areas.
In contrast to the area's predominantly rocky coastal landscape, Barley Cove features an extensive dune system, believed to have formed as a result of a tsunami in 1755. This discovery point can be reached via attractive, narrow country lanes offering impressive views of the surrounding landscape.
