Hi dee

I log on to your site a couple of times a week and am always in awe of your photos
Living in Calgary, you bring the ocean to us landlocked mortals
Devastated to hear you will no longer be on pbase, are you moving or just not posting anymore?
I hope to meet you one day when we move to Nanoose
This week your Long beach log photo made me feel I was in Tofino
Thx for the pix

Been nice seeing things through your camera's eyes: you have both your Mom & Dad's talent for hard work and artistic arrangement, but the real credit goes to your inner-teacher. Well done, Deanne.

Excellent Photo's of The Sydney.

With your permission I would like to include one picture (picchick/image/89567056)in an upcoming memorial to the Sydney (II) - you have The Sydney (IV) pictured. Sydney (II) was sunk in WWII with the loss of 645 lives making it Australia's largest maritime disaster ever. It's not for profit and a still image only will be displayed. Please advise for permission to include your excellent picture. Cheers Karl, RSL Committee Member (karl@dragonstar.com.au)

Your black lab caught my eye first, but I'm thoroughly enjoying all your images! I'm in south Arkansas and love the same subjects you do. Every time I walk our trails I find something new, or a new way to see what I've seen previously. I haven't posted anything yet but now I'm inspired to, hope you'll see and like my work also. LA

Thanks for your visit and comment. All I can say is that I try to keep it as close to reality as possible.
That giraffe (part of him) that you commented on well he had a massive last kick before he died.
This was the result. Warning a bit of blood.

Hello , More great pictures and observations. The quantity and quality of good shots lead me to believe you must have the camera with you ALL THE TIME. Is this so ? Will you compile a My favorites gallery sometime? I will keep looking Robbie.

Hello pic chick, thanks for taking a peek at my little gallery and the kind comments.
Enjoyed your new shots, fresh ,clean and crisp, the rain drops effective with the
flowers. Like you we are getting far too much rainfall , so I aim to show effectivly
how wet it is and capture the mood of the moment .Thanks Robbie.

Enjoyed your comment regarding my cat and the feather. LOL Catching and eating birds is frowned upon and discouraged but I could not resist letting her play with the feather. :-) I have no idea what happened to the bird that lost it. :-o

Hi Dan - Thanks for the nice comments! I have used no filters on my Washington pictures. In fact, most of my pictures are without filters. Some might have a 'star' filter if there was light to reflect, but generally none. L-o-v-e the Pentax and find I want a macro filter now! Tho the 6.1 mp is a beaut - as I can zoom in on the computer and crop to my heart's content! Port Angeles is nice on the waterfront, but did not explore elsewhere - tho Sequim would be beautiful during lavender season!! ;)
Dan 25-May-2005 12:43
Hi,

Great pictures, fastastic shots of Washington. You may find this amusing, I'm planning to buy a Pentax ist DS AND I have a serous "Sleepless in Seattle" scenerio with a great friend in Tacoma. So your pictures touched my photo sense as well as my heart. I want to go to Port Angeles and Port Townsend... with my new Pentax of course. Wrong priorities? Oh no, I love second opinions.

Some shots make me think you must use filters. Do you? If so, which do you find most useful?

Thanks,

Dan

I thank you for sharing with us your vision of the beauty which surrounds

Madrina 26-Feb-2005 17:56
I always knew you were talented.......but, seeing your gallery pictures
makes me want to be your agent so that you could get "out there" with this
enormous gift and that these works of art that you have created from GOD'S WONDERLAND could inspire, bring joy, laughter and warm "fuzzies" to people in this world so
rushed - stressed - unable to smell the roses!

Hi Dee,
Absolutely positively beautiful! You 2 have built a beautiful home and the view! wow! We were up in the Candian Rockies last summer, not quite to your area but close enough to see how gorgeous the area is. Your pictures really capture natures beauty- I especially like the wildlife ones! Have you considered selling them via consignment at a gallery? Awesome-thanks for sharing kiddo!

Anyone can take a great picture when the scenery is co-operating. It takes talant like this photographer to take a day to day situation that we may not notice, and turn it into postcard material.

Wonderfull.
