While hiking a challenging shoreline the other day this gosling was being introduced to the World by Mom and Dad ... who provided the customary 'hisssss' during my approach. My guess is its probably no more than a few days old for it was experiencing great difficulty walking amongst the rocks and shells ... tumbling 'head over heels' 3 or 4 times during the short time I was there. Spring has arrived in Victoria ... now if only the weather would co-operate ...
