This poor little guy was perched on a fallen log in the middle of the flooded part of the forest. He was some what wet and had no way of getting to a dry,safe perch without going through water. Owlet rescue was in order...
We gave him a helping hand...by placing him on a higher,dry location.
It's possible that this was his first attempt at flight...and he did a crash and splash.
