Hi Andrew I believe I have seen this one before on a farm near Carberry Manitoba. Was his web very large as in four or five feet? Was there a aztec shaped design in the shape of a wolf on it's large round abdomen? If so , it is the same species of spider I have seen as well. I too am interested in finding out what kind it is!

I found one these guys in my backyard in winnipeg.Do you know what kind it is,and do they bite?Its one of the biggest I've seen in the city! Thanks ANDREW
