And from a darkening forest did come a "Ghost" like figure...a Great Gray Owl. It's flight is slow and deliberate, compared to other owls but still the encounter would last mere seconds.The largest Manitoba Owl 27in. tall and a wing span nearing 5ft.
After three years I found my First Gray Owl.

Great catch Dennis! You must have been so excited seeing your first one and getting some fantastic images as well. I was out again on 15 this weekend but no luck.
