"A legendary Indian site, popular into the 1900s, Wedding Oak sheltered many marriage services. Three occurred in one day, Dec. 24, 1911." From the Texas Historical Marker placed near this 400 year old oak tree. Legend has it that the Indians were married under it and later the settlers were as well.
