A Bridge off of County Road 213 in Caldwell County, Texas south of Lockhart. it is another Pratt Through Truss design and as you see it is no longer open to traffic

Built 1910; Bypassed by new bridge in 1997 Pin-connected, 6-panel Pratt through truss Span length: 98.1 ft. Notice the bent portal brace, and how the top chord on the left has bent inward. I have examined the bridge and see no impact evidence. It appears to be structural failure.

Intriging scene. Much to think about with the road disappearing on the other side of the bridge. A little more contrast might improve this selection. Blessings, Carol
