Old Saybrook, Old Lyme - RR Bridge

An eight section railroad bridge with seven Baltimore through trusses and a Bascule span connects the towns of Old Saybrook and Old Lyme over the Connecticut River. It was built in 1907 by the Scherzer Rolling Lift Bridge Company of Chicago, for the New York, New Haven and Hartford Railroad. The tracks are now owned by Amtrak
