SkeletonPoint.jpg

To the left is the north rim, the center is the inner gorge of the Colorado River (plus Zoroaster's and Clear Creek's Canyon separated by an island before they enter the Colorado River?), and to the right is the Tonto platform and a ridge or two from the South rim.

The peaks on the left (I think) are Brahma Temple and Zoroaster Temple I would pass on my hike to Clear Creek the next day. Some of the flatter part the terrain below is blocked by this ridge.

The park service recommends that you take plenty of rest stops BEFORE your joints start to hurt.
I did that and lightened my load as much as possible, including taking only a little water since it was nice a cool. I probably should have rested more at my final stop, but I was fine once I got to the bottom and for the rest of my next 3 days of hiking.
