Prettier than the Falls, to me was the mixture of colors of the rock, trees and water. I thought I had a clearer shot from the trail that leads to the falls than this.
LeConte is one of 5 major waterfalls within 5 miles. I camped between waterwheel falls and this one in a wonderful grove of old growth trees. This falls has a "waterwheel" itslef, seen on the right where the water strikes the granite and is forced up into the air into a waterwheel.
I see why the lady wondered how you could tell which falls were which since they seemed to be non-stop until the Glen Aulin meadows. Another who worked at the Glen Aulin high sierra camp admitted she did not know which falls were which after trying to give me some bad info.
